Shooting courses anyone ?

It's always good to think before we shoot ... and where we shoot.

病从口入,祸从口出!

What happened awhile ago was one of my fb comments got taken outta proportions. But dont get me wrong, I know where the person (A) was coming from. So "feeling bad", I called up the person (B) I was making the comment on ... and guess what ?

B is cool about my statement ! In fact, B tot it was pretty spot-on and funny... which was originally y I commented.

Anyway, back to A; A made a big deal outta this saga - big enough to challenge my manhood !! hahaha. And the funniest part is that I am right all along !

Firstly, had B been angry, it was between B and me, so much for poking into others' affair.... Secondly, FB is an open forum that we should watch what we say. And last but not least, not getting the facts straight and spraying the wrong stuff around just isnt the way to go...

So I conclude:

1. I know and understand my friends better than some do.
2. There are so many pple who speak without using their head(s).
3. This cow-boy style just doesn't have an effect on me !

Haha weird pple....

The Investment of the wedding bell ....

It's never an enjoyable thing to hear that couples are calling off their weddings last min due to whatever reason(s).

Perhaps, deep down inside, he/she/they knew there is unresolvable difference(s), and it wasnt meant to be...

Or look at it this way, maybe it's better to find out the worst now than later on ?

Or worse, did they get engaged for the right reasons ?

Reflecting upon myself, when I do propose, it will be because I want to marry and take care of her. I believe that's the best proposal we man can ever give our ladies - to mean what we vowed ... heh

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On a same note, was talking to her about the incident, and I brought out an interesting comment:

"I put in so much effort for this relationship liao... of course have to endure and compromise lah..."

In fact, she was initially worried about my perception if things dont work out eventually.

Both of us agreed that many (esp Singaporean guys) see r/s as an "investment" for their time, effort or even money, such that it's the primary focus they get sucked into in the aftermath of a break-up. And this is not healthy most definitely.

To me, I see my other half as someone who is there to share my happiness, joy, sorrow and many more... we do things together and enjoy each other's company. She is never an "investment" or object where I expect any returns or anything. If ever the day comes where we are just not meant to be (I am touching wood now), I will just walk away like I did with my ex.

I never ask for any return of gifts previous given, or etc. Perhaps, an apology (if I am clearly in the right) would be enough ... haha. That being said, once I give up that's it, no such thing as looking back and thinking of reconciliation too.

Dun get me wrong, there would be some lingering feeling of loss linked to not getting anything out of the r/s... but it has more to do with the habitual attachment(s) and sense of loss than anything. Meanwhile, learning what has gone wrong and what I could have done better for my next r/s is the way to go. Thus, as heart-broken as I will be, I need and must move on... life is too short to dwell into this abyss of darkness so much so that we often fail to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Sad and devastated I will be, but moving on I must and I will !

Just my two cents worth....

As for us, let's just say she and me, we are special for each other. Hee

My New Year Resolution (2 months late... haha)

1) Continue to learn and progress at work
2) Cut down on alcohol; drink whenever necessary
3) Save as much money as possible
4) Spend more time with ah ma and my family
5) Travel around more with "her"
6) Treasure "her" to my fullest capacity
7) Learn to cook more dishes
8) Meet up with those pals I am neglecting now...

I am back !!! Finally....

I know I know... its been awhile since I blogged...
Okay awhile = 3 months.... haha

Enough already !! Hee...

Seriously, its not like I lost interest in blogging... it's just there are so many things going on now that I really dont have the luxury of sitting properly at my computer and type something (as u guys can tell with me writing only at such wee hours...)

So this is what I have been up to:

1) Work has never stopped (literally) abit since the end of year kick-started. The 2 Shell projects I am working on are really good learning experiences... but darn... so tiring to coordinate when your customers don't even know what they want/have...

2) Yes, there is someone special in my life. I dont want to jinx it, but she is really special... so we'll see how things go...

3) Travelling abit for some getaways (will update soon with pics)

4) Jerry's away on compassionate leave, so technically I took over his workload since before CNY. Man... sales manager is no joke ... lotsa stuff to " Jarm Si Dong "

There you go.

Will try to blog whenever I can... stay tuned peeps !

PS: I really haven had a single drip of alcohol since "Man U vs Liverpool FA Cup" match... even then its only a pint of Erdinger... let's just say it's a new year resolution yeah... hee~

My peculiar taste

I belong to the class of men who believes that "Dont demand, and we'll give you more than you can think of; demand and you will get little...." haha

I really think that giving something from the heart is more appropriate then succumbing to demands... give you guys an example, if I have a gf and she askes if I could fetch her, I would do it w/o a second thought. But... if she demands I drive her to wherever, after awhile, it gets really distasteful for me.... it kinda becomes a chore when it should have been we enjoying each other's company.

"Ask and you shall be given; demand and there is nothing for you !!!"

Then again, I reckon that there are such ladies around nonetheless... just at the end of the day not my cup of tea....

My peculiar taste I guess....

Honesty is the best policy....

I like honesty... yes we all know it hurts sometimes, but it's the only foolproof mean(s) against rumors, hearsay, bad press or wat have you...
Especially so when interacting with close people. Honesty is the best policy; because one would never know how info can be attained these days... and it is simply too easy to realise lies (white lies maybe ?)through tallying the facts u know....

So for me, either I dont say it at all, or I tell the truth... or at least I hope to do it majority of the times. We can never make everyone happy, can we ? So far so good for me, i have been doing it since I started to realise it's importance...

Perhaps it would make the complicated world less complicated a little....
